Students at Belle Vue Girl’s School have the opportunity to study GCSE Humanities over two years. Humanities GCSE follows the AQA syllabus. The course consists of five units.
GCSE Humanities provides an interactive approach to learning, which has proven to be very popular with pupils. It is an interdisciplinary course that covers the key Humanities subjects that pupil’s study at KS3 (History, Geography and RE), as well as Philosophy
and other Humanities disciplines. The aim of the course is to give pupils an
understanding of society and a broad spectrum of skills. GCSE Humanities uses multi-media and ICT in order to enhance pupils’ learning, providing them with skills required in the current employment market.
