Drama

This will allow you to work in an active and exciting way as you explore ideas and themes and experiment with ways of communicating with others.

All students will follow a drama course at KS3 that aims to develop your self confidence and creative and expressive powers. You will build up a range of skills that will give your work depth and meaning.

The practical work that you will do often involves working as part of a group where you can contribute your own ideas and respect those of others.

At KS4 we offer the Edexcel GCSE in Drama. This two year course is 60% coursework and the remaining 40% is a practical exam performance at the end of Yr11.

At KS5 we then offer the OCR Performance Studies A-level.

Every year we take part in the UK’s largest youth drama activity, the “Shakespeare Schools’ Festival “ where we are invited to perform at a professional theatre infront of a paying public.

We organise trips to see live theatre and also invite groups in to perform for our students.
