Welcome to the Technology faculty. The faculty comprises of the subjects Design Technology and Information and Communications Technology. It is our belief that we prepare our students for life not only within school but after school as well. The subjects are based upon problem solving and the skills needed to use modern technologies in the most appropriate way. We set challenging and exciting tasks and the students respond in a very positive way.
KS3 Design Technology
All students have two lessons of Design Technology each week and throughout the year they experience the four areas that we offer, Resistant Materials, Textiles, Graphics and Food.
KS4 Design Technology
Students moving onto our GCSE courses have a choice from Textiles Technology, Graphic Products, Food Technology and new from September 2008, Product Design. All courses follow the AQA syllabus and enable the students to develop their ideas through to a finished product which will be in a media relevant to their chosen course.
